　　该剧是英剧《摩斯探长》的续篇，于2006-2015年在ITV播出，共九季33集，每集约90分钟，其中从2013年的第七季开始每集在ITV1首播时被拆分为上下两部分连续两周播出，然而在重播时以及在美国PBS电视台播出时依旧作为整集播出。该剧将背景设置在学术气息浓郁的牛津，剧中很多含有隐喻的诙谐对白在外国文学爱好者看来会别有趣味，同时延续摩斯系列侧重通过案件展示各色人生和命运悲剧的特色，凶手被揭露后通常会有一幕对手戏将矛盾推至高潮，尘埃落定后缓和而带有希望的片尾曲又形成鲜明映衬，让人感叹命运无常及人的渺小，同时又看到光明的希望。该剧多位编剧也曾参与ITV版大侦探波洛和马普尔小姐系列剧的改编。

　　故事讲述的是多年好友和不良少年假扮缉毒局探员抢劫一栋乡间别墅，却无意中揭露并揭开了东部沿海最大的毒品隐秘通道。

　　While rowing out in the ocean, Mitch rescues an underwater photographer, named Linda, floating on some wreckage. Linda's somewhat disjointed, frantic story about something attacking her in an underwater cave which killed her partner and destroyed her boat is misconstructed by Kay Morgan, an ambitious, publicity seeking newspaper reporter, who creates a media frenzy by starting rumors about a "creature in the bay." Harvey Miller, the new lifeguard and prankster, benefits from the events by selling undersea creature T-shirts. Meanwhile, Shauni rescues a young girl from drowning and soon becomes compelled to rescue the girl, her brother and their mother from the life they live in the slums of South-Central L.A., much to Eddie's chagrin. While Shauni deals with her possessive father who disapproves of her lifeguard job, Mitch also pressures Captain Thorp to ask for funding for new advanced motorboats, called Scarabs, for the team.

　　2019年《爱丁堡边缘》（Edinburgh Fringe）热播的一人舞台剧《驯鹿宝宝》（Baby Reindeer）以一个令人信服的真实故事为基础，讲述了编剧兼演员理查德·加德（Richard Gadd）与他的女跟踪者扭曲的关系，以及这对他的影响，因为他最终被迫面对一个深深的、黑暗的创伤。

　　In season 5, Cassie and Sam begin married life, Grace and Nick look ahead to college as high school graduation looms, and others in town embark on new romances and endeavors. All the while, Cassie continues to work her special magic to help those around her.

　　Filming has begun on the fourth series of popular Bath-based detective drama McDonald & Dodds, starring Tala Gouveia and BAFTA award-winner Jason Watkins.
　　
　　Comprising three feature length films (3 x120), the guest cast for the first story includes Toby Stephens (Lost In Space), singer/songwriter Pixie Lott (The Voice Kids), Lydia Leonard (Gentleman Jack), Daniel Lapaine (Catastrophe), Dipo Ola (Landscapers), John Gordon Sinclair (Gregory’s Girl) and Ace Bhatti (Line of Duty).
　　
　　In this first film, McDonald and Dodds begin to investigate when a middle-aged woman is found shot dead in a rented flat. The killer has removed all clues to her identity, but DNA reveals she went missing over 35 years ago. Where has she been all those years? And who with?
　　
　　Returning to the cast this series are Claire Skinner (Outnumbered) who plays Chief Superintendent Ormond and Charlie Chambers (EastEnders) who plays DC Goldie. Bhavik C. Pankhania (World On Fire) joins the line up as DC Lee.
　　
　　The series has been commissioned for ITV by Polly Hill and Huw Kennair Jones and will be produced by Joe Shrubb. Executive producers are Robert Murphy, Damien Timmer and Charlotte Webber. The first film is written by Robert Murphy and directed by Khurrum M. Sultan.

　　《神探可伦坡》（Columbo）是一个有名的经典美国电视电影，由彼得·福克（Peter Falk）主演。自1968年~2003年期间，共69集。本片叙述一名总是穿着一件皱巴巴的棕色风衣，顶着一头乱发，嘴里叼雪茄，开着一辆老爷车的洛杉矶重案组的刑警主角法兰克·可伦坡（Frank Columbo）。看似不修边幅的他，总是以敏锐的推理能力侦破各种案件，并让犯人无从抵赖。
　　本片每集独立成篇，一大特点是每集中客串演出犯人角色的全为名演员与名人。另一特点是剧情采用固定的倒叙推理形式;先描述犯人作案的情形，而后描写可伦坡从与嫌疑犯的交谈及证据中确定其嫌疑，逼得犯人不得不自白。犯人原以为天衣无缝的杀人计划，都逃不过他的锐眼。他的一句名言是：‘世上没有完美犯罪’。
　　倒叙推理，着重如howcatchem（如何抓住犯人），而不是常见的whodunit（谁是凶手）、howdunit（手法）或whydunit（动机）。因此在日本若出现倒叙推理的作品，往往会被叫成‘神探可伦坡或古畑任三郎风格’。日本著名编剧 三谷幸喜 从小就可伦坡迷，长大后更是创作了’日本版神探可伦坡’－《古畑任三郎》。
